This page explains what personal information Nomo stores, how you can delete specific data or your entire account directly from the app, and how long anything is kept afterwards. It applies to the Nomo mobile application and is provided in line with Google Play’s data deletion requirements and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

You are in control of your data. From within the app you can delete any of the following — either one item at a time, a whole category at once, or everything by closing your account:
To remove individual items without closing your account:
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all of the data associated with it — trips, receipts, expenses, uploaded documents and WFH records.
Your account is deactivated immediately and your data is scheduled for permanent deletion (see retention below). If you have a paid subscription, please cancel it separately through the App Store or Google Play — deleting your Nomo account does not automatically cancel billing that is managed by the app store.
Can’t access the app? Email hello@heynomo.com.au from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll verify it’s you and complete the deletion within 30 days.
When you delete data or your account, it is removed from the live app immediately and is no longer visible or usable by you.
A limited copy may be retained for up to 30 days before it is permanently erased. This short retention window exists only to:
After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our active systems and backups and cannot be recovered. We may keep de-identified, aggregated information that can no longer be linked to you, along with any records we are legally required to retain for longer (for example, transaction records needed for tax or accounting compliance) — and only for as long as the law requires.
