Nomo is an Australian tax deduction and mileage/work kilometre tracking app for PAYG employees and sole traders. It keeps four kinds of records that usually live in four different places: a glovebox logbook, a shoebox of receipts, a calendar of home days and a spreadsheet you meant to start.
Work trips Automatic GPS trip tracking. Swipe each drive to work or personal.Receipts and expenses Snap a receipt and Nomo reads the merchant, amount and date.Work from home hours Tap to start, tap to clock off. Every session is saved at 70c an hour.Tell Nomo the days and hours you usually drive for work. It records each drive in the background using your phone's GPS and lets you know when the trip ends, with the kilometres already counted.
Swipe right for work and left for personal, then pick a purpose like Site visit or Client meeting. Work trips are added up at the current ATO cents per km rate. How Nomo tracks work kilometres.
Recording a trip in the background.
Swipe right for work, left for personal.
A purpose on every work trip.
Driving a lot for work? Nomo records odometer readings for your trips and for the 12 week period, works out your work use percentage from the trips you've sorted, and produces a 12 week logbook report you can export for your tax agent. See the logbook tracker.
Snap a receipt at the counter. Nomo reads the merchant, amount and date, suggests a category like Tools and Equipment, and lets you mark it Work, Mixed or Personal. You can also add an expense by hand. Everything is kept for the five years the ATO asks for. See the receipt tracker.
Frame the receipt.
Merchant, amount and date, read for you.
Every expense for the year, by month.
The ATO's fixed rate method needs a record of the actual hours you worked from home, all year. Tap to start, take a break, clock off. Nomo keeps each session and the running total at 70c an hour. Work from home deductions, explained.
Nomo adds your trips, expenses and home hours into one number for the financial year, so you can see whether your real work expenses are heading past the $1,000 standard deduction from 2026–27. See the tax deduction tracker.
When the year ends, export a PDF or CSV report of every trip, receipt and home hour. Use it when you do your return in myTax, or send it to your accountant.
